Maureen has had me busy placing a big block in her cobra this spring. The car is nearly complete and ready for summer evening drives.
The new engine is a 435 cu-in FE big block Ford engine based on a 428 crank and block. This engine should make more torque than the previous small block and be able to idle along on the freeway with the overdrive transmission.
The car is thinner than it looks and the new engine has 1/8 inch clearance to the hood scoop and 4 inches between the oil pan and the ground.

The Cobra has been busy this summer. We have been to three car shows with more to come. In early August we met with our local Cobra group and had 39 Cobras jammed into a small parking lot in Ventura CA. This was the biggest meet we had to date and has everyone looking forward to next time.
We will be attending the Wheels and Windmills Car show in Solvang , CA on August 25, 2007. I hope the wind is favorable and keeps the ashes from the ongoing Zaca Creek fire away for the day.
Come on out and see us.
